Meeting Her Sponsored Child: Susan Peterson's Story

Meeting Her Sponsored Child: Susan Peterson's Story

by Emmie Martin

As soon as Susan Peterson heard that Liberty Foundation was planning a missions trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, she knew she had to be there.

Not only had Peterson, a member of Liberty Church’s Brooklyn community, dreamed of going on a missions trip her entire life, but her Children’s Cup sponsor child, Alison, lived in Tegucigalpa.

“When I found out that this was a possibility, not only to go on the missions trip, but be able to see her, it was a no-brainer,” Peterson says.

Thank You From Cambodia

What an exciting year it has been in ICF Cambodia!  The children’s ministry has doubled from 200 to 400 children every week!  And the youth ministry that began a few months back with 15 students now averages over 400 students at every gathering!  The feeding program continues, providing meals every week to over 600 children.  A generation that would otherwise be forgotten is now thriving in the heart of Siem Reap!

In the past few weeks, great progress has taken place within the city of Manzini, Swaziland!  The Liberty Community Centre is a blessing to the community and creates a place for friendship and family. It even housed its first wedding! This couple was able to use the Centre free of charge for their day of union and celebration.

My Time In Africa

My Time In Africa

I recently returned from my fourth missions’ trip to Africa, and my second to Swaziland. My husband, Greg, and I are increasingly drawn to and changed by our experiences in Africa and consequently when we flew out on 13th June, we were fully expectant of what God was going to do, particularly in our hearts.
